Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cashier to join our team at AfyaHub Medical Center. As a Cashier, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth financial transactions and daily operations of the center. Your ability to handle monetary transactions, maintain accurate records, and provide exceptional customer service will be essential in contributing to the overall efficiency and success of our center.

Responsibilities:

Conducting cash and electronic payment transactions for patient services, medications, and other clinic-related expenses.
Accurately processing payments, issuing receipts, and providing correct change to patients and visitors.
Maintaining a high level of professionalism and delivering outstanding customer service to all medical center visitors.
Balancing cash drawer and reconciling daily transactions to ensure accuracy and accountability.
Collaborating with the administrative team to manage patient billing, insurance claims, and other financial matters.
Assisting with appointment scheduling, patient check-ins, and inquiries at the front desk as needed.
Utilizing computer skills to input and update patient information, manage financial records, and generate reports.
Ensuring compliance with financial policies, procedures, and relevant regulations.
Participating in training sessions to enhance cash handling skills and stay updated on clinic operations.
Contributing to a positive and supportive team environment, fostering effective communication and teamwork.

Qualifications:

Previous experience as a cashier or in a similar financial role is preferred.
Proficiency in computer usage, including data entry and basic software applications.
Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with a diverse range of patients and colleagues.
Ability to handle cash responsibly and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
Adaptability and willingness to assist in various clinic tasks as needed.
High school diploma or equivalent
Education or training in finance
